Terms and Conditions for the Laura Ashley Modelling competition:-
1. Eligibility
This competition is open to all female UK residents:-
(i) over the age of 18 years as at 29 October 2009;
(ii) at least 5ft. 7in. in height; and
(iii) with the right to lawfully live and work in the United Kingdom.
2. Registration
Registration for this competition will commence on 29.10.2009 to 27.11.2009 inclusive. No postal applications will be accepted and all applications must be completed on www.lauraashley.com.
3. Personal Data
By submitting an entry, participants consent to Laura Ashley using their personal data and images for the purposes relating to this competition and for all purposes arising from this competition.
4. Semi - Finalist
The Laura Ashley panel will choose the semi-finalists for the competition from the entries received.
5. Attendance
All selected semi-finalists must be available to attend a casting event in London at their own expense.
6. Final Casting
Finalists will be chosen from the semi-finalists and will be notified and invited by Laura Ashley to attend a final casting event in London. Any reasonable travel expenses will be paid for by Laura Ashley.
7. Notification & Winner
Up to four winners will be selected by the Laura Ashley panel and such winners shall be notified on or before 25th January 2009.
8. Award
The winner will be awarded:-
(i) a fee paying modelling contract with Laura Ashley for a period of one (1) year. The fee will be determined by Laura Ashley; and
(ii) a £1,000 Laura Ashley Gift Card.
NOTE : The Laura Ashley Gift Card cannot be exchanged for cash and the Laura Ashley Gift Card is redeemable in Laura Ashley stores in the UK. The Gift Card is not transferable.
9. Final Decision
Laura Ashley's decision is final and binding. No correspondence or any other form of communications will be entertained.
10. Scope of Modelling
If Laura Ashley considers fit and appropriate, the winner shall be selected to model in Laura Ashley fashion shoots, online photography, mail order photography, In-Store photography and In-House fashion catwalk shows subject to a contract between the individual and Laura Ashley.
11. Travel
All winners must be aware that they may be required to travel locally or internationally and stay over night either in the UK or overseas for the Laura Ashley fashion shoots.
12. External Modelling
The winner must obtain permission from Laura Ashley prior to participating in any other external modelling campaign or securing a modelling contract with an agency or elsewhere whilst engaged by Laura Ashley.
13. Restriction
The winner shall not use or copy at any time any of the images taken during the casting and/or photo shoot events in their portfolio without the permission of Laura Ashley in securing a modelling contract with an agency or for any other purposes.
14. Agency Fees
In the event that a winner secures a modelling contract with a modelling agency or elsewhere, Laura Ashley shall not be charged with any agency fee when using the winner for Laura Ashley photo shoots during the term of the modelling contract with Laura Ashley.
15. Exclusivity
The rights to all photographs and images submitted and/or taken as part of the competition and thereafter will belong exclusively to Laura Ashley and will not be returned to participants. Laura Ashley has the right to use such photographs and images as it deems appropriate. This includes national and international usage.
16. Reservations
Laura Ashley reserves the right to contact all participants of the competition at any time.
17. Timeline
Laura Ashley reserves the right to amend any time periods and event dates if it considers necessary in the circumstances.
18. Employees
This competition is not open to employees of Laura Ashley Limited ("Laura Ashley") and their associated, affiliated or subsidiary companies, and their families, agents, or anyone connected with this competition, including any third party promotional partners.
19. Variations and Termination
Laura Ashley reserves the rights to amend at any time the terms and conditions or to terminate this competition.
20. Principal
